Top hat grommets are used in conjunction with take-off fittings to provide a small diameter poly pipe branch from a large supply pipe. The grommets fit inside a hole drilled in the supply pipe. Top hat grommets provide a seal around take-off adaptors and poly fittings when connecting into PVC and Rural Poly supply lines, preventing leaking at the fitting.
